Two page letter/envelope set from the Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez. The letter is handwritten and has been signed “Richard” on the second page. The mailing envelope also contains Richard’s full signature. Along with the letter and envelope is a small pen and marker drawing of two hearts with empty banners that Ramirez drew.

Richard Ramirez (February 29, 1960 – June 7, 2013), known as “The Night Stalker,” was an American serial killer, rapist, and burglar active in California between 1984 and 1985. His crimes were marked by extreme violence and satanic symbolism, targeting victims of varied ages and backgrounds. Ramirez’s attacks created widespread fear throughout Los Angeles and San Francisco.

He was arrested in August 1985 after being recognized and subdued by local residents. In 1989, Ramirez was convicted of 13 counts of murder and numerous other charges, including attempted murder, sexual assault, and burglary. He was sentenced to death and remained on death row at San Quentin State Prison until his death from complications related to B-cell lymphoma on June 7, 2013.
