Ted Bundy Signed Letter- Written Days Before First Escape

This is an extremely rare letter written by Ted Bundy while he was awaiting trial in Colorado for murder. This letter was written on May 29th, 1977, after being convicted for the kidnapping of Carol DaRonch. It was written to his family friends Barb & Herb. Less than a month after this letter was written, Bundy would escape from custody by jumping out of the second story window of the Pitkin County Courthouse in Aspen, CO.

There are no letters on the market from Bundy during this time period, as he only wrote to his mother, lawyer and close friends, making this letter exceptionally rare. The letter is typed, two pages long and signed “Ted” in pen.
