This letter was written by Ted Bundy and sent to his two close family friends, Barb & Herb, exactly one month after jumping out of the second story window of the Pitkin County Courthouse in Aspen Colorado and escaping from custody. He was found just six days later and taken back to prison. Bundy mentions his escape briefly in this letter, referring to it as his “little adventure.”
Bundy signed his name “Ted” at the end of the letter. Extremely rare. There are no other letters from Bundy during this time period when he was incarcerated in Colorado awaiting trial for murder.
