Richard Kuklinski, aka “The Iceman”, was an American Serial Killer/ Contract Killer from Jersey City who killed over 100 people. He committed his first murder at the age of 13, and so began his lifelong reign of terror and mayhem. Kuklinski stood at 6 foot 5 inches, weighing almost 300lbs, and well known for being freakishly strong and being able to move silently, almost catlike, which made him even more deadly. Kuklinski killed several men, for sport and fun, before becoming involved with the mafia in the 1950s.

Since Richard was Polish, he could never be a made man in the mob, which meant he could be a private contract killer and work for multiple Crime families including the Decavilcantes and the Gambinos. Kuklinski enjoyed killing, and took every contract very seriously. If he was told to make the target suffer, he made them suffer. He was known for experimenting with several different forms of killing including stabbing, shooting, poison, beating, strangulation and torture. He would tie a noose around a mans neck and throw them over his shoulder, essentially using himself as a tree to hang his victims. If he wanted a victim to suffer, he would take them to a rat infested cave in Pennsylvania, tie them up and leave them to be eaten alive by the rats.

Richard Kuklinski’s reign of terror came to an end in 1986, when he was recorded talking to an undercover agent about how to kill someone using cyanide. He was convicted of four murders, but years later confessed to over 100 murders spanning over a 30 year period. In fact, over 15 cold cases were solved almost immediately after Kuklinski admitted to these murders on a documentary series for HBO. Richard “The Iceman” Kuklinski will go down as one of the most savage and cold blooded serial killers that the world has ever seen.
