Randy Steven Kraft (born March 19, 1945), known as the “Scorecard Killer,” is an American serial killer convicted of murdering 16 young men between 1972 and 1983, though he is suspected of killing many more. Kraft’s nickname derives from a coded list of killings found in his possession, believed to correspond to dozens of victims.

Kraft lured victims—often hitchhikers, Marines, or young men he met in bars—before drugging, sexually assaulting, and killing them, frequently through strangulation. He was arrested in 1983 after police discovered a victim’s body in his car. Convicted in 1989, Kraft was sentenced to death and remains on death row in California. His case is notable for its organized methodology and its connection to other West Coast serial homicides of the 1970s and 1980s.
