Ted Bundy Rare Signed Letter- Written While Awaiting Trial in Colorado
This is an extremely rare letter written by Ted Bundy while he was awaiting trial in Colorado for murder. This letter was written in November of 1976, less than a year after being convicted for the kidnapping of Carol DaRonch. It was written to his family friends and contains some very interesting content. He talks about how he believes he will be convicted in Colorado, his guilty verdict in the kidnapping trial, and talks in detail about how it has all affected his mother. Six months after this letter was written, Bundy would escape from custody by jumping out of the second story window of the Pitkin County Courthouse in Aspen, CO.
There are no letters on the market from Bundy during this time period, as he only wrote to his mother, lawyer and close friends, making this letter exceptionally rare. The letter is handwritten, three pages long and signed “Ted.”
