Tommy Lynn Sells (June 28, 1964 – April 3, 2014) was an American serial killer responsible for at least 22 murders across multiple states between 1980 and 1999, though he claimed to have killed many more. A transient drifter with a long history of substance abuse and violent behavior, Sells targeted victims of all ages and backgrounds, often attacking them at random. He became known as the “Coast to Coast Killer.”
He was arrested in 1999 after a 10-year-old girl in Texas survived a brutal stabbing and identified him to police. Sells later confessed to numerous killings, some of which were corroborated through physical evidence. Convicted of capital murder in 2000, he was executed by lethal injection in Texas in 2014.
