Edmund Kemper, infamously known as the “Co-Ed Killer,” is an American serial killer responsible for eight murders between 1964 and 1973. His crimes began with the murders of his grandparents at age 15 and later escalated to the killings of six young women in California, followed by the murders of his mother and her friend. Known for his imposing stature, calculated behavior, and disturbing confessions, Kemper surrendered to authorities in 1973 and was convicted of all eight murders. He received eight concurrent life sentences, and his case remains a significant subject in the study of serial homicide, criminal psychology, and behavioral profiling.
