The company was founded in 2017 by Jordan Cook, whose passion for true crime history and unique design sparked the creation of a small shop that quickly grew into a thriving true crime community.

In 2023, Jordan married the love of his life, Maren, who then officially joined the company, bringing her own creative eye, organization, and vision to the brand. Together, Jordan and Maren run True Crime Collective as a family business built on authenticity, quality, and a genuine love and passion of true crime.

From artwork and apparel to rare curated collectibles, every piece is crafted to honor the stories, history, and darker corners of human behavior that continue to fascinate audiences around the world. Jordan and Maren have traveled extensively across the United States and Europe to personally hand deliver rare murderabilia and true crime artifacts to several major museums. Their dedication to authenticity and preservation has taken them to institutions such as Alcatraz East Crime Museum, Graveface Museum, The Michigan Museum of Horror, and Serial Killer: The Exhibition in Europe.
