Ted Kaczynski “The Unabomber” Signed Letter

This is a handwritten and signed letter from Ted Kaczynski, also commonly referred to as the Unabomber. The letter is signed by Kaczynski and also includes the original mailing envelope where he wrote his full name. Since his death, letters from Kaczynski have become increasingly rare and sought after by collectors.

Ted Kaczynski, known as the “Unabomber,” was an American domestic terrorist responsible for a nationwide bombing campaign that spanned nearly two decades. Beginning in 1978, Kaczynski mailed or planted homemade bombs targeting people associated primarily with universities, airlines, and modern technology.

Between 1978 and 1995, his attacks killed three people and injured 23 others. His campaign was driven by an extreme anti-technology and anti-industrial ideology, which he outlined in his infamous 35,000-word manifesto, Industrial Society and Its Future.

Kaczynski was identified and arrested in 1996 after his manifesto was published, allowing his brother David and others to recognize his writing. He ultimately pleaded guilty to the bombings and received eight consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.

His case remains one of the most notorious episodes in modern American criminal history, combining a lengthy bombing campaign, an extensive FBI investigation, and one of the most recognizable criminal manifestos ever published.
