This is a signed envelope, letter and hand tracing from convicted murderer Altemio Sanchez. The letter is two pages, front and back, and handwritten. At the bottom of the first page, Sanchez traced his left hand. The letter, as well as the original mailing envelope, both contain his hand signature.

Altemio Sanchez, infamously known as the “Bike Path Rapist” and later the “Bike Path Killer,” was a serial predator who terrorized the Buffalo, New York area for nearly three decades. Between the late 1970s and 2006, Sanchez committed a series of brutal sexual assaults and murders, targeting women along isolated bike paths, parks, and running trails. DNA evidence ultimately linked Sanchez to the murders of Linda Yalem, Majane Mazur, and Joan Diver, as well as numerous rapes and attempted attacks. After years of evading law enforcement, he was arrested in 2007 and pleaded guilty to multiple crimes, receiving a sentence of 75 years to life in prison. Sanchez died while incarcerated in 2023, bringing a final chapter to one of Western New York’s most notorious criminal cases.
