This short letter was sent by serial killer and Florida death row inmate Bobby Joe Long in response to a letter he received from someone who worked for the criminal justice department. Long responds by saying he has no interest in being pen pals with someone who works in criminal justice. He hand wrote this letter and signed it, and it comes with the original mailing envelope which has also been signed.

Bobby Joe Long was an American serial killer and rapist responsible for a series of murders in the Tampa Bay area during the early 1980s. Long abducted, sexually assaulted, and murdered at least 10 women, though investigators suspected he may have had additional victims. His crime spree ended in 1984 after one victim escaped and provided police with key information leading to his arrest. Long was convicted of multiple murders and sentenced to death in Florida. After spending decades on death row, he was executed in 2019 at Florida State Prison.
