Juan Vallejo Corona (1934–2019) was a California serial killer convicted of murdering 25 migrant farm workers and transient laborers in Sutter County, California, during the spring of 1971. Often referred to as the "Machete Murderer," Corona targeted vulnerable men who were seeking agricultural work through his labor contracting business. His crimes shocked the nation and, at the time of his arrest, made him one of the deadliest known serial killers in American history. Convicted on 25 counts of first-degree murder, Corona spent the remainder of his life in prison, where he died in 2019.
