Kathy Schroeder Signed Photo- Branch Davidian Cult Member

Kathy Schroeder occupies a distinctive place in the history of the Branch Davidians for several reasons:
She was an insider who had lived at Mount Carmel for several years before the siege.
Her husband died in the February 28 violence, while she and her children survived.
She personally participated in the distribution of weapons during the confrontation.
She later provided detailed testimony that helped prosecutors secure convictions against other members.
Her accounts offered insight into Koresh's religious authority, his control over relationships, and the group's expectations of an apocalyptic confrontation.
The siege ended on April 19, 1993, when a fire destroyed the Mount Carmel compound and killed Koresh and many of his followers. Schroeder had left more than a month earlier.
