This is a two page, handwritten and signed letter from Illinois Serial Killer, Larry Bright, also known as “The Bonecrusher.” The letter is signed on the second page and also includes the mailing envelope where Bright hand wrote his full name as well.

Larry Dean Bright, also known as “The Bonecrusher,” was an American serial killer responsible for the murders of eight women in central Illinois between 2003 and 2004. His crimes primarily occurred in Peoria and Tazewell Counties and targeted women between their late 20s and mid-40s.
Bright’s killing spree lasted approximately 15 months. Investigators determined that he murdered his victims through methods including strangulation and fatal drug overdoses. Afterward, Bright disposed of the bodies in remote areas and, in several cases, burned the remains in a fire pit at his Peoria residence before crushing the remaining bones and scattering the fragments. This method of disposing of his victims earned him the nickname “The Bonecrusher.”
Bright was arrested in January 2005 and eventually confessed to the killings. In May 2006, he pleaded guilty to eight counts of murder, along with theft and burglary charges. He was sentenced to eight consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole, avoiding the death penalty as part of his plea agreement.
