Rodney Alcala “The Dating Game Killer” Signed Letter

This is rare, signed letter from the Dating Game Killer, Rodney Alcala! This is actually the very first time we have ever owned or sold anything from Alcala, which just goes to show you how rare it is to see items from him become available. In this typed letter, Alcala types out the letter in which the sender sent to him originally, and then types his response underneath. At the bottom of the first page, he hand wrote in pen “continued on reverse side.” He then signs his name in pen at the end of the letter “Rodney”. The letter includes the original mailing envelope which has his full name typed out on. One very cool thing about this letter, is how he mentions photography, because he lured most of his victims by telling them he wanted to photograph them.

Rodney Alcala was an American serial killer, rapist, and convicted murderer known for a series of killings committed during the 1970s. Often referred to as “The Dating Game Killer” after appearing on the TV show The Dating Game in 1978, Alcala was linked to numerous murders across several states, including California and New York. Investigators believe his true victim count may be far higher than the confirmed cases. He was known for luring victims with his charm and photography hobby before attacking them. Alcala was sentenced to death in California for multiple murders and died in prison in 2021 while awaiting execution.
