Roy Norris (1948–2020) was an American serial offender best known as one half of the “Toolbox Killers,” a duo he formed with Lawrence Bittaker in the late 1970s. Together, they abducted, assaulted, and murdered several teenage girls in California in 1979, using tools they kept in their van—an element that led to the pair’s nickname. Norris ultimately cooperated with authorities, providing detailed statements that helped secure Bittaker’s conviction. He pleaded guilty and received a life sentence, remaining in prison until his death in 2020.
